The old ceaft shops in Leskovac

The project is co-funded by EU through the Interreg-IPA CBC Bulgaria-Serbia Programme

In Leskovac, there are still some of the oldest craft shops that pass on their tradition and love for work from generation to generation. The “Perica” barbershop, founded way back in 1936, is today owned by the third generation of the Stanković family, and the “Bora plus” hairdressing salon has been cutting the hair of the people of Leskov for 58 years and has also been passed down from father to son. The shoe shops “Taratumba” and “Žišić” have also been present in the city for decades, and there is also the Patisserie “Minjon” which offers fresh and high-quality cakes.

The owners of these shops are recognized for preserving tradition, nurturing quality and passing on knowledge and love for work from generation to generation. At a time when it is difficult to maintain tradition and quality in business, these crafts shops show that you can make a good living from crafts and that tradition is still alive in Leskovac.
