The National Museum in Leskovac

The National Museum in Leskovac is an institution that collects, preserves, documents, studies and presents historical and artistic works collected in the territory of southern Serbia. It was founded in 1948 and carries out its activities through museum departments and facilities on the territory of the surrounding municipalities. The museum deals with the improvement of museum activities, the spread of general cultural values and educational tasks. In the Museum, there is a permanent exhibit “Timeline of the Leskovac region”, which shows the life of the people of this region from the Neolithic to the late Turkish era. The National Museum in Leskovac is a regional museum institution that contributes to the development of modern society and presents knowledge about Leskovac and the surrounding areas in an interesting and attractive way.
