Faculty of Technology in Leskovac, founded in response to the needs of the economy of southeastern Serbia for highly educated personnel in the field of chemical, food and textile technologies.
Founded in October 1979 as the ninth faculty of the University of Niš, the Faculty of Technology enrolled the first generation of students in two departments: the biochemical department with pharmaceutical-cosmetic and food majors and the textile department with mechanical-textile and chemical-textile majors for four years.
Over the years, the faculty has developed new study programs and profiles, and today it offers basic, master’s and doctoral studies in the field of chemical, food and textile technology.
The Faculty of Technology is accredited as a state faculty in the field of technical-technological and biotechnical sciences – chemical and process technology, biochemical technology, food technology and textile technology.
