Church of Sv. Jovana Krstitelja is located in the canyon of the Vučjanka river, about 18 kilometers from Leskovac. It was built in the Byzantine style between 1935 and 1938 on the foundations of the old church, which was built by Nikola Skobaljić.
This building is made of hewn stone, and the interior is decorated with frescoes. In addition to the church itself, it also consists of a long open chancel connected to a porch and a one-story bell tower to the west.
Church of Sv. Jovana Krstitelja is an important cultural monument of this area, and due to its architectural style and the artistic values of the frescoes, it represents one of the most significant works of Byzantine architecture in Serbia.
