Leskovac and Vlasotince, towns on South Morava, hide great potential for wine tourism. Mitrović Winery, located on the eastern edge of Leskovac, is one of the more serious wine producers in this area. The owner, Dr. Predrag Mitrović, invested 500,000 euros in two hectares of vineyards, a building and equipment for the production of up to 20,000 liters of wine per year. The winery is named after the old tower “Hrusija pirg” which forms part of the Hilandara monastery complex. The Mitrović Winery’s production facility is fully equipped and can produce up to 20,000 liters of wine per year. The second half of the building is planned to house tasting rooms and a kitchen, with live music. The winery is located at the entrance to Leskovac, and the first five-star hotel in the city will be built on the plot directly in front of it, which opens up opportunities for the development of tourism in this area.
