Gimnazija Leskovac is a school with a long history of education dating back to 1879, when it was founded on the initiative of the head of the Ministry of Education, Milan Milićević. Over the years, the school has undergone numerous reforms and names, and in 2003 it got its current name.
Today, Gimnazija Leskovac offers education to students in 32 classes, distributed in two directions – social-linguistic and natural-mathematical. Each major has four departments. The school has modernly equipped general purpose classrooms and classrooms for physics, biology, computing and informatics, and chemistry.
In addition, Gimnazija Leskovac has a library with over 11,000 titles, a media library, a gymnasium, classrooms for foreign languages and a dental clinic. The ballroom is also located within the school and is used for various occasions such as presentations, performances and lectures.
Considering its long history and quality education offer, Leskovac High School represents a significant institution in the educational system of the city of Leskovac and beyond.
